I met James as a frequent shopper and employee at KS. We quickly bonded over our personal, very real, struggles with T1D and he was so easy to talk with. You knew he cared, but more than that, you FELT he cared. He would go out of his way to help everybody - a true Christian. I sincerely miss looking for him before he spots me for a quick check-in and chat during my KS visits now. Rest in Peace, James.

I was shocked to see the memorial for James when I went in to shop at KS today. I always enjoyed chatting with James. We met originally years ago when he attended Southeast Christian Church. James was a sweet man, always willing to go the extra step to make sure your shopping experience was the best. He will be truly missed. Praying for peace and comfort to surround his family and friends during this difficult time.

I just found out James passed today. I am a frequent shopper at King Soopers and I saw his memorial flowers there today. He was one of the good ones. We always chatted and he helped me on many occasions. We shared about our faith and I truly appreciated his friendship. I will miss him. I send my deepest condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace James! I´ll see you in heaven one day! Save me a spot!

James was a great mentor when I worked at Chick Fil A. He made many friends and was a good friend. Being close with James is probably what got me through some of the tougher parts of my life. My deepest condolences to his family and may he rest easy in the arms of God almighty. We’ll miss you James, rest well.

I met James when I got hired at Chick-Fil-a. At some point he had left and I wasn´t sure where he had gone but he was always such a joy to be around. I was either 15-16 at that time but funnily enough I moved and had to change jobs and the king soopers was the closet place I could work. I got a job as a barista there and turns out, James had been working there too. We were co workers for several years together between chick fil an and king soopers. James always encouraged my dreams throughout my late teens, I had dreams to be a doctor and he would always tell me that I´d make a wonderful doctor. My dreams took a turn and I wanted to become an engineer and work as a rocket scientist. Again, James always encouraged me to chase my dreams and told me I´d be a great rocket scientist and that I my parents had raised a good kid. I graduated last May and I´m currently working as an engineer in the space industry just like I had dreamed of, James was always in the back of my mind, cheering me on. James had one of the sweetest, kindest souls I've ever met. My deepest condolences go to his family, he was a wonderful man with a big heart and he always knew how to spread the love around and make people smile and chase after their wildest dreams.

I was sad to see the memorial of him at the front of King Soopers. I´m a frequent shopper there and James would always spot me and say hello. He´d ask about my kiddos and we´d have good friendly conversation. He was always so kind and friendly and always had a smile on his face. My deepest condolences to his family.

I will miss you, my sweet friend. You reached out to me recently and expressed how sorry you were for not staying in contact with me and in your words, "not being as good of a friend as you should have been." I will never fault you for that because you were a friend to everyone and you were spread thin. You were a great husband and a dad, then also a grandfather. I was going through the grief of losing my brother, a week before you called me. He too, was battling diabetes and lost his battle this year. Please say "hello" to my brother and I look forward to seeing both of you, along with all of the others that I have lost, when I make it to heaven. You will be greatly missed and I wish that I could have been at your service in person, but I am so glad that I had the option to participate online. I am so glad that you are free from the diabetes and you are able to befriend the angels. Candice West

James was one of the kindest most caring people I have ever met. I didn't know him well, just frequent quick conversations at KS. He always remembered what was worrying me, and shared what was going on with him. It's such a loss for all of us, but especially his family and friends who knew the full extent of his kindness and quiet presence. I'll be praying for everyone who will be missing him in their lives. Sorry I couldn't attend his memorial. Good bless you all.

There will always be a special place heart for my youngest cousin James. As so many have said, he always had a smile, a laugh/giggle, questions about my family, stories and pride about his, and often a conversation about our amazing Grandfather the heart surgeon, who we were so proud of and I think he was writing a story about him.
I´m so glad he had such a great and full life with Annie and his children and his work. He is already so missed. I´m thankful he was a strong Christian and often said "God Bless" at the end of a conversation because I know he´s in a better place. Love you Jimmy.

My earliest memory of Jimmy was his infectious smile and giggle when he was around 5 years old at the Village Club swimming pool. When you saw his grin from ear to ear, you couldn't help but smile yourself. You could tell he was feeling joy all the way to his core. He always was so positive, curious and supportive! Travel lightly into the next dimension, Jimmy!

James was a great gentleman and who was kind and caring person, he always asked if you needed anything. He was very curious about my tubeless insulin pump and that we had the Dexcom G6 and that we each had different experiences with each devices and how they worked together to treat our type 1 diabetes. The last thing he said to me when I was picking up some medication for a tooth extraction was that he needed to ask me a question and I said sure I will be right back and he needed to get back to work but I didn´t see him again!

Kind, very kind, and considerate. These qualities do not describe many people, but they do James quite well. I am saddened by his passing. This world could have benefitted greatly by the continued presence of Christ that emanated from his life. We will miss you James!

James was a very kind and caring person, I will miss our daily conversations at work. I was in shock and sad to find out the news. James accepted people for who they were inside. My condolences go out to the family at this very sad time!
