James Gruett Obituary

James was born on July 28, 1934 and passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018. James was a resident of Marysville, Ohio at the time of passing. He was a 1952 graduate of Wauwatosa High School where he was a cheerleader and was a member of the ski club and track team. He joined the Army Reserves in 1958 during the Cuban Missile Crisis and worked as a lab tech serving until 1963 at which time, he also left Scotts to work as a florist in German Village. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Jim will be forever remembered and missed by his wife of 30 years Sharon, whom he married in 1988; his kids, Cheri (Alan) Seymour, Jeff Gruett, Kathy Hodges (of the late Judy Grimm); Lori Gruett and Mike (of the late Rosemary Boerger); their daughter Jamie (Richie) Harper, Chris (Shelley) and Jonathan Cook; 16 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 7:00pm at the Ingram Funeral Home with the Rev. James Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 2 hrs prior to the funeral from 5-7pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Loving Care Hospice or the Union County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
