I didn't know Jim personally but he worked at lumber Co in Fremont were I visited many times with my dad . As a youngster I could just put my hands on the counter top and he would try and slap them . He always had a smile on his face. Sorry to the family for your loss. Hold tight to the memory's you have of him .

Reaching out to offer my condolences. A very comforting thought at this time is a reminder at Proverbs 17:3, that God is the examiner of hearts and he knows who has tried to do what's right in his eyes. So we can trust his Jusdgements are righteous. May this bring your hearts comfort and a measure of peace at this time of loss. It has done that for me in the past with my own losses. Again my condolences. Regrettably, Juanita

Jim and Vi were the type of people who were the glue holding our communities and nation together. Just good people. Honest, kind, and quick with a smile.
In my interaction with Jim, I felt he’d rather lose a dollar than beat someone out of one.
As a young lawyer when I moved to Fremont in 1976, he was and now remains a great example of how to live the good life. Great sympathy to his loved ones.

Please accept our deepest sympathy and recognition of a live well-lived.
We have attended All Saints Church for over 50 years and Jim was always there; for weekend Mass, taking money for fish dinners, and whatever needed to be done. Always with his dry humor evident. We also built our house in the 70's and bought everything from Jim at Fremont Lumber. We did that because of the trust and confidence we had in him. His contributions at All Saints and in the community will be missed.
