James R. Lausch, 58, of St. Joseph passed away Friday, Aug. 20, 2021.
Jim was born to Robert J. Lausch and Roberta A. (Lucker) Lausch on March 28, 1963, in St. Joseph.
He attended Lakeshore Public Schools, graduating with the Class of 1981.
His first employers were P&R and Hadley Service Stations. He was employed by Prairie Farms (Bareman Dairy) for 30 years and was branch manager at his time of death.
Always looking for a "great deal," Jim enjoyed going to auctions and sales, and loved buying and selling treasures. Deer hunting up north was always on his fall schedule and he enjoyed the great outdoors and his camp in Free Soil, Mich. He was always up for a casino visit, especially with his Uncle Chib.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Robert J. Lausch; grandparents: Robert and Mary (Stroba) Lucker, Arlie (Shetterly) Lausch and Charlie Henderson, Herbert Lausch; many aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his mother, Roberta Luttke; sister, Jan Lausch Zilke; brothers, Rob (Susan) Lausch, and Roger Warner, Ed (Tammy) Luttke; and special friend, Tracy Papai.
He was very proud of his three nephews: Eli Zilke, Issac Lausch and Isaiah Lausch. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends will miss him.
Memorials may be made in his name to Baroda American Legion, P.O. Box 217, Baroda, MI 49101. Per Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral or visitation.
Rest in peace, beloved Jim.

MY Thoughts and prayers are with your family. I was a food service director and met Jim through Prairie Farms. He was one of the nicest and soft spoken managers that I had the pleasure of working with. May the memories you have of him help you you through this time of grief.
