James "Jim" R. Lee

James R Lee 76, passed away August 4, 2025 in Columbus, IN. Jim was born

January 19, 1949 to James A. Lee & Wanda C. Lee in Columbus, IN. Jim married Rhonda June West in 1973.

Jim served his country for 2 years during the Vietnam War and was then the proud owner of Lee's Bait and Tackle and Lee's Heating & Cooling located on Oak St in Columbus, IN Jim was well known in his community and always eager to help someone in need. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and all outdoor activities.

Jim is survived by his sons James R. Lee, II (Shannon), Richard (Melissa) Lee and a stepson Isaac Spiehler. Grandchildren Zachary Spiehler, Malcolm Spiehler, Tyler Lee, Aryn Lee, Payton Lee, step granddaughter Bayleigh Fields and many nieces and nephews including his nephew Will Acton who was Jim's caretaker & POA.

Jim is also survived by stepbrothers Ronnie Mobley and Doug Mobley and stepmother Myra Rose Lee.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Rhonda J. Lee and brothers Marshal Lee and Gordon Lee.

Cremation is planned at Halo Cremations. A private spreading of ashes is planned at a later date.
