James M. Lias, 87, died Sunday, June 28, 2015, in Dunnellon, Fla.
He was born into this life Nov. 15, 1927, in DuBois, a son of the late Merle and Helen (Johnson) Lias and grandson to the late Anna and Ernest Johnson.
He was a graduate of DuBois High School and Penn State University, 1951. Jim enlisted in the U.S. Navy in June of 1945.
He was a lifetime member of the Penn State Alumni and Easter Seals.
During his career he lived in Pennsylvania, Miami, Fla., Houston, Texas and eventually moved to Dunnellon, Fla., in 1998, where Jim and his wife Angela made their home.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine (Morgan) Lias.
Jim is survived by his wife, Angela Lias; his stepchildren, Brent Daniel and Leslie Daniel.
He will be buried by his family at the Morningside Cemetery in DuBois.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon, Fla., and the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home in DuBois.
