Jim was one of my fathers best and oldest friends. They were such good friends that instead of words, just knowing looks could communicate their thoughts. They always made each other laugh and found irony in situations. You know they were great friends when they hadn´t seen each other in a while because of working and caring for family, and they would just pick up where they left off and laughing like they were in grammar school again. My mother and father, Jim and Ginny McCormack, would always sit with Mr and Mrs Lucas at the Tattler Post and enjoy their company. When my dad was sick in the early 90s, Jim made it a point to come and see what he needed. He always gave advice and encouragement to my mother in difficult times. When my father passed away, Jim made a point to talk to each of us seven kids individually and tell us stories that demonstrated the virtues of our father. Jim Lucas was truly a kind sole, and I send my deepest sympathy to his family. God Bless your sole , Mr Lucas, you were a gem that made us all smile.
