James McDade Obituary
Jim grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from Northeast Catholic High School in 1960. He played goalie for the Lighthouse Blues Soccer Team. He met his wife Barbara while they were both working in technology: he delivered telegraphs while she delivered telegrams. Jim pursued his Bachelor of Science in Accounting at LaSalle College in the evenings while working at his day job and becoming a father to two boys. He became a Certified Public Accountant and a Tax Partner at Touche Ross & Co; subsequently teaching at LaSalle College. Jim was an active member in both the New Jersey Society of CPAs and the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs. He later went on to partner with friend Bill Phillips to establish and build Phillips McDade, an HVAC business, where he spent the back nine of his career.
Jim was active in the Cosmopolitan Club, a South Jersey philanthropic organization, and was a board member of the Ronald McDonald House in Camden, NJ. Jim was a passionate Philadelphia sports fan, an avid golfer and an enthusiastic member of Tavistock Country Club.
Family and friends are invited to the Visitation on Thursday February 9, 2017 from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at St. Vincent Pallotti Church, 901 Hopkins Rd. Haddon Twp. NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to BLAKE-DOYLE Funeral Home, Collingswood, NJ.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully suggest donations in James McDade Sr.'s name to the Ronald McDonald House 550 Mickle Blvd. Camden, NJ 08103 or www.Ronaldhouse-snj.org.

The Board, Staff and families at Ronald McDonald House SNJ send condolences to you and your family. Jim was an early board member who was instrumental in helping our charity establish our accounting systems back in 1983 and get off to a fiscally responsible start that has served it well. Thank you, Jim. RMHSNJ is grateful for your support over so many years.

Dear Barbara, Your husband was a great man and will be missed. Jim McDade was an all around fun guy to be around with. He was a guys guy, whether it was playing cards, shooting darts, cigar dinners, Boating with me on the Wild Rover, Jim would bring the pitcher of Martini's. He lived every day to it's fullest potential. He could take sour lemons and turn them into a pitcher of Lemontini's. This world could use a lot more people like Jim McDade in it, God Rest His Soul, He probably found my dad up there and is having a pint of Guiness with him Laughing about us.
