JAMES MOGUSH Obituary
JAMES EDWARD
Age 70, of Level Green, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016, in his home. Jim was born on December 21, 1945, in Wilkinsburg, the son of the late Anthony and Adrianne (Drnevich) Mogush. Jim earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, a minor in Math and Physics, and his Master of Science in Computer Science, all from the University of Pittsburgh. He was a Computer Systems Engineer for Gulf Oil Corp for 23 years and lately for Intertek PARC Technical Services in Pittsburgh. He was a very active member of the St. Regis Church in Trafford and its Knights of Columbus Council 6299 for over 30 years, serving as Grand Knight for 4 years. Jim was an active volunteer for Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and high school marching band for his children. He excelled in sailing, snow skiing, water skiing, photography, tennis, golf, bowling, home/car repairs and playing chess. He enjoyed family camping, bicycling, traveling and astronomy. He was a loving, kind, friendly, easy going and helpful man to family, friends and all he met. Jim was generous with his time and his love and was always eager to share a smile and a story with others. He had a love of life and kept focus on all that truly matters. He will be dearly missed. Jim is survived by his wife, Victoria (Merritt) Mogush; his children, Michael Mogush of Level Green, Christopher Mogush and wife, Allyson (Weekley) of Squirrel Hill, Kimberly Mogush and fiancé, Trevor Swindell of San Diego, CA, and Stephen Mogush of Level Green; his siblings, Doris Folco and husband, Joseph of Murrysville and William Mogush of N. Versailles; and many other family members. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 702 7th St. (St. Rt. 130), Trafford 412-372-3111. Parting prayers will be at 9 a.m. in the funeral home on Friday followed by a funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Regis Church, Trafford. Interment will follow in the New St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles.
