JAMES PALMER Obituary

JAMES V. PALMER, 81, died Wednesday, Dec. 25 (Christmas Day), 2013, in Winchester, Mass. He was born in Fort Wayne the son of George and Emma (Teders) Palmer on Dec. 5, 1932. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and Purdue University. He was also in the Army for two years and served with the Military Police in Germany during the Korean War. He was a pharmacist and had owned his own pharmacy, Palmer Pharmacy, in Grabill, Ind., for 23 years. Surviving are his three daughters, Diana (Mike) Brooks, Linda (Chip) Stenger, and Barbara Palmer (Lonnie Radke); and five sons, Christopher, David, Greg, Philip, and James (Diana) Palmer; ten grandchildren; and his sister, Kate (Sam) Newnam; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Margaret Knight and Mildred Adams. Memorial Service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, Ind., with calling one hour prior. Deacon Jim Kitchens Officiating. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Ind., with U.S. Army Military Honors.
