Of Brookline, on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Husband of the late Nancy (Murphy); beloved father of Christian Pistorius and Dana Murphy; brother of Jeannette LeDonne Webber; grandfather of Cameron Perez; former husband of Cheryl Pistorius; uncle of Larry, Jr., Marlo, Desiree, Tara and Ross; son of the late Jim and Vivian Pistorius. Friends may call at THE FRANK DeBOR FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS SERVICES, INC., 1065 Brookline Blvd., 412-561-0380 Saturday 6-8 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Blessing Service Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Jim was an active and decorated corrections officer for Allegheny County, Badge #909. Allegheny County Prison Employees Union Rose Ceremony Sunday evening.

Officer Pistorius - You were such a nice guy. You would make me laugh with seemingly negative comments, but your actions showed that you cared about doing a good job, you cared about the Infirmary, and you cared about the safety of the inmates. Hope it comforts you to know that change is on the horizon at ACJ - although you will still be sorely missed.

Jimmy , you were at times my saving grace.
Whenever I needed a laugh you would always
provide me with one. I will miss your kindness and our talks we had, mostly venting, but you were always there.
Never forget our running joke, Clint Eastwood.

The Pistorius Family:
Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Jim. Jim and I grew up together on Pioneer Avenue when we were young boys. Years later, Jim came to work at the Allegheny Bureau of Corrections as a correctional officer where I had the great pleasure in reconnecting with an old friend, and a fine correctional officer.
