Jim and I were roommates for a semester in Chapel Hill back in the 60's. He was a quiet and studious friend, always had a big smile.......a true Southern Gentleman. My prayers are with the family.

We were deeply saddened to read of Jim's passing in the paper. He was a good Christian man and he will be missed. Though I haven't seen him in many years, I have pleasant memories of doing business with him. May God be with you in your time of grief.

Heaven called home another beautiful angel that morning. You are one of the best men I've had the pleasure of knowing. I was so lucky to call you my grandfather. You blessed my life in more ways than I can say. You made everyone around you laugh & were always a happy, wonderful man to be around. You bestowed plenty of knowledge and stories upon us that we will take forever. You had so many friends and family that are sad that you have left us but so happy you're no longer in pain.
It was one of the hardest days of my life as it fully set in that I won't walk into the house greeted by anymore of your awesome hugs or see your day-brightening smiles. You helped shape my life. Thank you for everything Poppop. You will be forever missed, never ever forgotten. Rest easy now. You deserve it so much. -Love forever, Elizabeth Anne
