James H. Toy, 78, of Kittanning RD 8, Rayburn Township, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, in Autumn Woods Nursing Home, Livonia, Mich. He was born July 15, 1928, in Kittanning, son of the late Harry O. Toy and Viola (Yount) Toy. He worked as a truck driver and was the owner and operator of Toy?s General Hauling, in Kittanning, for 42 years. He was a member of the Kittanning Elks, Moose, Kittanning-East Brady Masonic Lodge #244, Coudersport Consistory and he belonged to the Rayburn Township Fire Department, where he was a charter member. He was also an honorary member of the Hose Co. #4. His interests were hunting, fishing and gardening. He is survived by his son, James E. (Mickey) Toy, of Livonia; a brother, Richard H. (Martha) Toy, of Mesa, Ariz.; a sister, Ann (George) Melton, of Riverview, Mich.; two granddaughters, Rebecca A. (Gary) Bell, of South Lyon, Mich., and Cindy L. Toy, of Farmington Hills, Mich.; two great-grandchildren, Jordyn Bell and Shelby Watt; and a very close companion, June Dosch and her family, of Kittanning. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edith L. (Miller) Toy, who died Sept. 15, 1991; a daughter, Florence Jane Toy; two sons, Harry D. and Richard M. Toy; and brother, Edwin ?Jack? Toy. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the KENNEDY & BLODGETT FUNERAL HOME, Kittanning, where there will be a Masonic service at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. John Wiseman officiating. Burial will be made in Kittanning Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Heart & Lung Association.
