James Warnecke Obituary

DANVERS — James F. Warnecke, 84, of Danvers, husband of the late Chrisant (Zesson) Warnecke, died Saturday evening, Dec. 8, 2007 in the VA Medical Center in West Roxbury.

Born and raised in Madison, Wis., he was the son of William and Patricia (Foley) Warnecke.

He received his education in the Madison school system.

An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during World War II and the Korean War as a member of the United States Army. A highly decorated veteran, he was the recipient of the Purple Heart.

Mr. Warnecke had been employed for many years as a photo processor at Cine Service Lab in Watertown until the time of his retirement. A resident of the Town of Danvers for the past 54 years, he was a member of the Polish American Club in Danvers, a life member of the American Legion Spear Post #331 in Beverly, the Italian Community Club in Beverly and the Salem Elks.

He had great love and passion for photography and had hundreds of photos in his collection.

Surviving him are two daughters, Mitzie A. Turnbull and her husband Robert E. of Canton, ME and Chrisant T. Warnecke of Beverly, two sons, Patrick J. Warnecke and his wife, Julie of Newburyport and Van F. Warnecke and his wife Linda of Ipswich; seven grandchildren, Nikolaos, Derek, Lindsay and Brittany Turnbull, Sarah Pulsifer and her husband David, Matthew and Connor Warnecke; three great-grandchildren, Ryan and Madison Pulsifer and Nikole Turnbull; several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGMENTS: His funeral service will be held in the Peterson-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St. (Rte. 62) Danvers, Thursday at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in the Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours prior to the service from 9 to 11 a.m. For more information, inquire at 978-774-6600.
