Jim and his family welcomed my son Brian Canter into their home and showed him much kindness. Brian has many wonderful memories of his time spent with Jeff and his family. He remains forever grateful for everything they did for and with him. Thank you for opening up your home and sharing your life with him. As Brian's mother, I am forever grateful and my heart felt condolences go to your family. You will be in my prayers.

I will always remember the laughs we would have on Woody Walters painting crew in the summer months after high school and during college breaks. We were a great crew, Burl Clark, Bob Harbison, Dan Lyon and of course Jim York. Rest in peace my friend and high school classmate.

Jim and I went to work at IBM on the same day of the same year and have been friends ever since. That was 50 years ago. He was the kind of friend that few people ever have in their lifetime. I was blessed that he was in my life. I have and will always love him like a brother. My prayers and love goes out to all of his beautiful family.
