Jamie Lee Foster

Mr. Jamie Lee Foster, 56, of Hickory, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at his residence, following a period of declining health. Jamie was born on November 28, 1965, in Mecklenburg County, to Ronnie Foster and Joye Huffman. His life was full of love for his family and an appreciation for the simpler things. Jamie was enthusiastic about music and fishing. As a truck owner/operator, he loved his work. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee and Nellie Foster, Fred and Annie Mae Huffman, and extended family, Kevin Shufford. Survivors include his wife, Polly Foster, parents, Ronnie and Joye Foster; daughters, Rene Foster, Cynthia Gosnell, Jill Peacock; son, Matthew Martin, grandchildren; Nevaeh Smith, Skye Smith, Bentley Darnell, Cash Oyola and Tyler Peacock. He is also survived by his sister Lorie Erwood (Dwayne) and brother Travis Foster (Teresa), nieces, Kristen Foster, Nova Cazares, Kinsley Erwood, nephews Devon Foster, Levi Foster, Caleb Erwood, and extended family, Marianne Shufford. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church, with Pastor Freddy Lindsey officiating. The family will receive friends, prior to the service, from 3:00 until 4:00. In lieu of flowers, donations for funeral expenses may be made to the family at 8635 County Line Rd., Hickory, NC 28602
