I just read about Jan Houston's passing. I was deeply saddened. I was a patient of hers in 2006 and 2007.She was the most compassionate doctor I ever met, and I really loved her. She will always remain in my memory as one of the most caring woman I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. My condolences go out to her family.

I am so deeply saddened to learn of her passing. I was a former patient. I was the last patient of the day and she said emphatically, "I wish we had some wine!" She was so gentle and reassuring. She treated me like a person and not just another case. I am eternally grateful. I send light and love to her family and all those she touched. Rest Easy

I just found out months later about Dr Huston during a doctor's visit at St. Barnabas. I live in Florida now. She was so positive with me about a new breast cancer diagnosis in 2008. She said " This is a cure!" Her positive energy helped me through the surgery. I will never forget her happy face. Sending prayers and Light to her in Heaven and to her beautiful family here on Earth.

Dr. Houston has been my doctor for almost 9 years. I recent had my annual in January. She was vibrant and always had a calming presence. I asked her how she handled such stressful job with balancing a large family. She simply said that her husband was a wonderful partner and he made things easy for her. I just admired her so much. She was a woman that we should all aspire and look up to.

My heart goes out to the family of Dr. Jan Huston-Pryor. I can't even phathom what you are feeling right now during your time of grief. She was a phenomenal woman and an extraordinary doctor with so much compassion. She was my hero. She saved my life. About 8 years ago, my daughter and my 6 siblings met with her to go over my options for my surgery. She made everyone feel very comfortable. She answered all questions. She even gave me her home # and her cell #. Just in case I had any questions.
A heart of gold stopped beating. Two shining eyes at rest. God broke our hearts to prove, He only takes the best.
Gone to soon, but never forgotten. May Dr. Jan Huston-Pryor Rest in the Arms of the Lord. You all are in my prayers. God will see you through this.
