Jane Marie (Floodstrom) McDonald, 75, of Hermantown, died Thursday, May 22, 2003, in St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born July 4, 1927, in Duluth, to Helmer and Ebba (Nelson) Floodstrom. She graduated from Hermantown H.S. She married Daniel McDonald in 1947 in Salem Lutheran Church in Hermantown. She was a lifelong member of Salem Lutheran Church and was very active in the choir. She was the 1st female class president at Hermantown H.S. in 1945. She was an avid bowler and member of the Thursday morning breakfast group. Jane's family was very important to her, she was known for her overwhelming hospitality and thoughtfulness towards others. If you ever had the pleasure of stopping for fresh coffee or homemade bars, chances are your birthday or anniversary, found its way on her all knowing calendar. Whether it was a phone call or card, you could always count on her to send you a smile. It was these little, ever loving traits, for which she will always be remembered. She was preceded in death by her parents. Jane is survived by her husband, Daniel; sons Duane (Betty), Darrell (Debbie Marshall), Dale, all of Duluth; daughters, Diane (Butch) Forsell, Linda Wilson, both of Duluth, Deb (Traci Bergo) of Plymouth, Minn; sisters, Betty Mueller of East Falmouth, Mass., Shirley (Dale) Whitney of Mt. Morris, Mich, Gloria Tomlin of Duluth, Barb (Len) Adamski of Hermantown; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. VISITATION: : 5-7 p.m. Friday in Salem Lutheran Church. Funeral Service is 1 p.m. Saturday in Salem Lutheran Church with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Memorials preferred to Salem Lutheran Church. Arrangements by Williams-Lobermeier Funeral Home.

Dear McDonald Family,



My deepest sympathies to all of you in the loss of your mom. I will always remember your mom as a kind person. May you seek comfort through your faith and family and friends during this most difficult time. I will keep you in my prayers.



A special note to Deb, I am sorry I will not be able to personally extend my sympathies to you. Please know you are in my thoughts.
