Janet (Malachowski) D'Amico – Lynn

Age 63 of Lynn, passed away peacefully following a long illness on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Life Care Center of The North Shore in Lynn, with her family at her side. She was born on October 5, 1954 in Lynn, the daughter of the late, Victor and Jeannette (Doucette) Malachowski. She was raised and educated in Lynn and graduated from Lynn English High School Class of 1972. Janet worked various jobs over the years but what she loved most was being home and taking care of her beloved son, Peter. She enjoyed her BINGO games and was known to attend them often. Janet was never without a good Dunkins' iced coffee. She had a true soft spot for animals, especially dogs. Janet was so happy to be able to dote on her grandson Mason whenever she got the chance. She was a big Red Sox fan who adored "Big Papi". Janet was famous for her "Janetisms", one of the all-time favorites being, "don't go near the water, its wet", these were some of Janet's "words to live by". She will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Peter J. D'Amico of Lynn, her son, Peter L. D'Amico and his wife, Elizabeth Jesus D'Amico of Peabody, her sister, Rosalie Davey of Peabody, her brother, Edward Malachowski of Farmington, NH and her grandson, Mason D'Amico of Peabody. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her. She was predeceased by her sister, Elaine D'Amico.
