Janice (Kloppe) Grabanski Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 28, 2025.
Janice Kay (Kloppe) Grabanski, 77, passed away peacefully in her home on July 24, 2025, and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. Janice is survived by her husband, Paul Grabanski, and her three children: Alisha Renee Incrapera, Nicholas Frank Incrapera, and Angela Incrapera Orfanos. They all adored her for her strong and loving spirit. She is also survived by her son-in-law, John Orfanos, and her two beautiful granddaughters, Madeline and Layla Orfanos. Her joyful spirit will be deeply missed.

Janice was born in Houston, Texas, on January 19, 1948, to her loving parents, Fritz and Dorothy Kloppe. She was the bright blue-eyed little sister to her older brothers, Fritzie and Rodger. Being the only girl in the family, she captured her family's hearts and likely enjoyed being a little spoiled! Friends and neighbors always remembered her as a spirited child, often seen with her hands on her hips and a bouncy ponytail, running like the wind.

In Houston, at Austin High School, she was chosen to be Captain of Flags for the Austin Scottish Brigade Drill Team, which became one of her treasured memories as a teenager. She went on to attend Stephen F. Austin University and then the University of Houston, where she earned her degree in education. Although she taught elementary-aged children for several years, motherhood took precedence. She loved being a mother, and her children felt that she would do anything for them.

Janice was known for her smile and her ability to radiate positivity. Many, especially her family, will attest to receiving the best advice from her. She was also a great listener. Her wisdom and faith in Christ were evident to everyone around her, and she instilled this faith in her children as she raised them. Her trust and confidence in God's plan were contagious to those around her.

Janice was cherished by her close friends and family, who will miss her sweet spirit and treasure the lifelong memories they shared with her. She adored spending time with her husband, Paul, whether they were on the porch listening to music together or at their cabin in Wimberley. She loved to read and took great pleasure in baking, earning a reputation for making the best pecan pie ever!

We find peace in knowing that Janice is with her Heavenly Father. In memory of her life, a service will be held on a date to be determined.

To know Janice was to love her...her unforgettable smile, fun-loving spirit and caring heart will be missed by all who had the good fortune to know her.
I first met Janice in the early nineties as her daughter, Angela, was one of my daughter Brooke´s, best friends and still is a BFF to this day. Janice just had that special ability to always make you feel so welcome, so happy to see you...a gift really....heaven´s just gained a beautiful, new angel!!
My condolences to all who loved her, especially Angela, Paul and family.

Our friendship started in junior high school and continued for another sixty years. It never mattered how long it had been Janice always greeted me with that special smile. How many people would get to a dentist appointment a hour early, well I did in hopes she was there that day so we could catch up on all the "gossip". Thank you for being a life long friend and all the beautiful memories you gave me. God bless you and my condolences to the family

A memory I have is Janice walking down the hall in high school with her perfect `flip´ of her hair, bouncing along, with a smile on her face. A sweetheart
