I was so sorry when I received word from Coleman Dukes that Janice has passed away. I was very young when we left Newnan but my sisters would tell me stories about Janice. What a sport!!! I did get the opportunity to spend time with her last summer and what a blessing that was. I know she is looking down at all of us now and waiting for the day that we will all be together again. May God Bless you in your time of sorrow.

With love,

I had not seen Janice in many years, but the memories of walking to school with Janice and June, laughing all the way, are as fresh as yesterday. She will remain in my memories as a sweet, funny, always laughing young girl. She will be missed by so many people. June -- Sam & I are sorry we will not be there for the service. We are in Florida and will not be back in Georgia until next week. We are thinking of you and your family and will add our prayers to the many others being offered.

I knew Janice through my husband's Georgia Tech position. I always looked forward to seeing Janice. Her sense of humor made many of the official functions enjoyable. She has been and will continue to be missed.

My husband "Jimmy Hammond" went to school hand in hand with Janice in first grade and they continued on through 12th. We've been able to see her at Coleman Duke's home in Sacramento and she loved both the boys so much and they loved her. Before I met her she told me she loved me because I loved Jim. Jim was stunned to hear--he thought they'd be able to get together again. We are sorry for the loss and will miss a very long time friend. Jim and Pat Hammond

Janice was my dear friend. We will all miss her. We have known each other since she was in the 7th grade. She was always the bright and jovial one in our group. We have kept in touch for over fifty years.

She was always so pleasant and professional in her work at Georgia Tech.

My heart goes out to June and all her family. We all grieve the loss of such a wonderful lady.
