BHACHU, Jaswant Singh (Jas) May 7, 1935 - August 29, 2011 Born in Kericho, Kenya passed away in Surrey, BC after a battle and complications related to cancer. Jas is survived by his wife Charan, his daughters Pam, Charan and her husband Nick, Kiran and her husband Mandip, and his sons Sat and Kam, and grandchildren Sabrina, Hailey, Tiana, and Jeevan. Born the third eldest of ten children to Sardar Battan Singh and Sardarni Swaran Kaur, he finished his schooling in Nairobi and moved to England in 1966 with wife Baldev and his 4 children and then to Canada in 1975. Jas was well known in the motor industry for his rally racing days in East Africa and his long surviving business Safari Motors. He lived and breathed his passion which was cars and gardening. He had enormous strength and spirituality, and was well loved and respected by all, both young and old. He will forever be missed by his family and friends, and remain in our hearts forever. My memories of the east african safaries was of great excitement as we stood for hours at the roundabout near town to catch a glimpse of the "sikhs" and followed their progress thru the event. They were the only drivers that existed for us!! I am Mala Chhibber. My brother is Nitin Chhibber. mY parents are Balbir and Usha Chhibber. Mum sends her prayers. We lived in South C and later in Hill View. Om Shanti.
