My first memory of Jean was close to sixty years ago. She and my mom LaVonn were great friends and we all had many wonderful times together. Jean could brighten any room with her great laugh and wonderful wit. Thank you so much for letting me know of her passing. I send both Lori and Kenny all my loving thoughts and prayers.

Dear Lori,
I'm sorry for your loss. Jean was very special and I still remember her taking me to Disneyland for my first time when I was 13. That was one of my greatest memories and we also went to the beach. She helped me color my hair and it turned orange from the sea water. My mom Carole Spears had a fit but it is funny to look back on and who would have know then that I would be a Hairstylist today. So those memories still pop up in my mind. I also loved talking about roller skating with your mom she would stand out in my parents garage giving me pointers. Jean will be missed she was a special lady.

Dear Lori, I am sorry to learn of your loss. I am on the precipice of losing my mother - she is in advanced memory care in Florida and immobile in the wake of a stroke. There's nothing in the world like a parent's, especially a mother's, love. Having already bid my Dad adieu, and feeling his love from the other side, I can assure you that the bond between you and your Mom may grow ever sweeter and even stronger. God bless you and your daughter, and the kitties, too!

Dear Lori and Erika,
I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Jean. I hope and pray that you will have strength during this time of loss. I can imagine that you're hurting just like all of us who knew her. Whenever someone you love is gone, there is always an empty spot in our lives. Those of us, who knew her, could tell she loved you very much. I know that Jean was well loved and respected: she had such a kind, gentle soul with a big heart. I am assured that we will be comforted by our memories and our love which is very much alive. Till this day I have never forgotten the time I spent with her. I remember one thanksgiving at your home Jean and I spent a considerable amount of time talking and getting to know each other. It started when she noticed I was enjoying the artichoke dip. She then began a conversation with me telling me she had made it, and gave me the recipe. We must have spoken for hours about so many different subjects. I will never forget her stock advice about how I should buy in October before the 4th quarter earnings and buy low, sell high. Jean had great character and an inner beauty that touched so many people. She will always be remembered and deeply missed. I want to let you know that I am here for you if you need anything. You have my deepest sympathy.
May God bless you and your family during this time and always,

Jean was a great mom to me. She lived to be 80 years old, and knew more about computers and internet than most people I know. She loved poker which she learned by playing with her neighbors in Montebello 40 years ago. I was planning a trip with her to Las Vegas the week before she died, her idea of a fun time.
She had a heart condition and her doctor told me her death was instant and she didn't suffer when the cardiac arrest happened. My name is Lori Bains, daughter of Jean Brown.
