Jean Cezus

Jean (Srokowski) Cezus, 90, of Windsor, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 3, 2016. Born in Brooklyn, New York on March 8, 1925 to the late Vincent and Eleanora (Romanowski) Srokowski, she later moved to and resided in Windsor for 66 years. Jean was predeceased by Joseph G. Cezus, her husband of 60 years. Jean's favorite place to be was her kitchen where she enjoyed cooking for her family and a hot cup of coffee and something to go with it was always on hand for any impromptu visitor. Her signature dishes were her galumpkis, pierogis, mushroom soup and strawberry Jell-O mold that she made for every Christmas Eve. On occasion, Jean loved to test her luck at the slots of Mohegan Sun and scratching off lotto tickets made her giggle. She is survived by her children, Vincent Cezus and his wife Kathleen of Windsor; Joseph J. Cezus and his wife Maria of Concord, Georgia; Donna Cezus and her husband Jean Beaulieu of Bedford, New Hampshire; her sister, Estelle Adykoski of Bloomfield;her grandchildren, Eric Cezus and Heather Klein, Lauren Cezus and Daniel Blinn, Marissa and Christopher Beaulieu and Kathleen E. Cezus; her great grandchildren, Jameson John and Anna Marie Cezus, Olivia Marie Blinn and Sebastian Cezus as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Jean was also predeceased by her brother, Michael Srokowski. Family and friends may gather at 9 a.m., Tuesday, March 8th at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor followed by a Funeral Service in the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
