Jean GOLD Obituary

Published by Calgary Herald on Jul. 16, 2012.
GOLD, Jean (Jeannie)
April 22, 1935 - June 24, 2012
It is with regret we announce the passing of Jeannie Gold on 24 June 2012 after a long battle with congested heart failure and its complications. She is survived by her son Pete, brother John, nieces Emma, Vanessa, Amanda and sister-in-law Jennie. Born in London England in 1935 Jeannie was evacuated to Cornwall in 1940 to avoid the blitz in World War II and spent five happy years in rural England. Immigrating to Canada in 1968 she made Calgary her permanent home. Her skills as an Administrator were well recognized ending her career with Exxon Mobil. Jeannie had a considerable love for life, especially the animal kingdom and the regal tiger. She will be missed by all who knew her. If her spirit has flown no doubt she will back in those peaceful green hills of Lostwithiel Cornwall her eternal haven.

I am so sorry to hear of Jeannie's passing. I worked with her for the best part of 20 years every day her loyality and devotion to her work was remarkable. For all of us who know and worked with her, we are better people for her friendship. We will always have the memories of our successes. John my sympathys. Remenber the moments.
