Our most sincere sympathy to all of Mrs. Metz's family on your loss. During our visits to Parkside to spend time with our grandma/great grandma Sophie, we always took Jean up on her welcoming offer to stop by her room for a short while to visit. She particularly appreciated seeing our little kids that we always had in tow! Before we left, Jean always made sure that we had a good look at the artwork and pictures of her great grandchildren that adorned her room...she was a very proud grandma!
Since my (Carla) own childhood, Jean's smile has been forever etched in my memory.

So sorry to hear about Auntie Jean. There are so many memories of her that I will never forget. Her house was the best place to go when you were a kid, everyone was always welcome there. She was a very special lady and we love her dearly.

Dear Ken, Sharon, Marlene and Al and families
I am at a loss for words, there are no words to express how so very sorry we are at the loss of not only a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was the greatest aunt that ever lived. She was my favorite aunt, and will always be in my heart, there will not be a day that I will not think of her. I always had her in my heart, she was like a second mom to me and a second grandmother to Taneal, Tyson and Mindy . She was there for everone, we had such good times, Xmas was always the best when we were all together. I for one will never forget, those times we all spent together. Yes she had a heart of gold, and always held out a helping hand to whomever needed one. This world has lost one of the best and most loving people in the world. Aunty Jean you will always be a part of us, you will always and forever be in our hearts and thoughts. We love you so very dearly.
Always Loved and forever remembered.
Love Wayne, Gail, Taneal, Joe, Tyson, Colleen, Mindy and Michael.

Aunty Jean. There will not be a day that passes that I will not remember the profound love and strength you gave your family. Your beautiful smile, your genuine hugs and energy lit up every room you graced. And the love….the love you gave to all of us was moving, deep and precious. I love you Aunty Jean and thank you especially for your love.
My thoughts lay close to Ken and Marlene and their families. My heart goes out to all those who loved her, to her friends and those fortunate enough to know her. The world will never see another woman like Aunty Jean. She was epitome of love, grace, strength and courage. My love and prayers goes out to the family.
