I met Jean on the ski slopes of Welch Village. She was an inspiration to me with her fight for life. A quiet calm and confident spirit with the sweetest smile. She will not be forgotten! My condolences to her family and friends, you must have so many wonderful memories.

Dear Jim and all the White Family,
I, too, met Jean at the Villa Way Apartments. She was so sweet, and like my sister Paula, I took comfort in knowing she was just across the hall from my mother, Mary. We will miss her smiling face. May God's love be with all of you in this sad time.

Katie and Family,
I got to know Jean when she lived across the hall from my mom Mary at Villa way. She was someone I knew I could count on to look in on mom and I could call in case of emergency. She was always cheerful and on the go . Helping out with differnt things. She was a great person and I really enjoyed getting to know her. God Bless.

Jean was the best friend you could ever have. I will always remember her as being so full of life. I went on many road trips with her and believe me they where some of the best days of my life. She loved to read the maps and navigate while I did all the driving. One time we drove all the way to New York so she could go to Cooperstown she wanted to visit the baseball hall of fame. And we did that. There are so many other wonderful memories that I will cherish. Jean you where one in a million. My heart goes out to her family I have the privilege of knowing them all. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I saw Jean at Southwest Roundtable meetings, on the ski slopes, and in classes at Washburn. It's with shock and sadness that I read of her death from cancer. What a nice lady! Most considerate and and kind. I am so sorry, and will keep her in my prayers.

Jeanne was so down-to-earth and happy. She was a sorority sister, and I remember her as always smiling. It was a wonderful surprise to run into her while taking community ed classes at Washburn a few years ago. My condolences to her family and friends.

Our hearts are heavy but our vision is to one day meet again. Jean was always supportive helping OLG school parents organize the Snowbusteres ski program and was a passionate supporter of the athletes in Special Olympics. When we connected at mass, Jean always asked how everyone was doing and left us with a positive comment and great big smile. We will miss you, Jean - blessings to your wonderful family!

So sad to hear of Jean's passing. Jean and I were acquainted through the Southwest Roundtable and her position at Washburn. Noble service provider is the term that first comes to mind when I think of her. She led in both of those capacities. She was always prepared to keep the Roundtable discussion moving and on track with thoughtful comments and questions

I so admired Jean's strength through her long struggle with cancer. She recovered so many times with vigor and vitality after her many periods of treatment. We would go skiing, biking and hiking quite often and she would outpace me many times (and I'm no slouch). She was a very giving person with her many friends and volunteer activities. I loved her sense of humor and kindness. I wish for her family peaceful healing and love during this time. I'll miss you Jean.

Hearing the news on Friday brougth to mind the many fun and happy memories of Jean and growing up with the entire White Family. Jean was so special. Always kind and smiling. She has left us all way too soon. However, her Dad and Sister June will now rejoice as she joins them in eternity. God rest you Jean and God comfort the entire White family in their time of loss and grief. I will be traveling and unfortunately will not be able to attend the services. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all.

I was saddened to hear about Jean's passing at Mass today. I have known Jean a long time, and have fond memories of her through Church, City of Edina Committees, Hyland Hills and Braemar Country Club. She actually taught our son, Zachary, and myself how to ski. I will miss her smile when I play golf at Braemar this summer. She was always so upbeat. Dear White Family, please accept our sincerest condolences on Jean's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time.

Jean, the quiet strength you exhibited always touched my heart. I wanted to know you because your brother is my friend and my pastor, my shepherd and my pal, my neighbor and the owner of a dog I love. He told me about you, bragged about your strength and he wanted to help you. And maybe he did help you get to heaven and I know you helped me see how brave you were. My prayers for your family. See you on the snowy mountains of paradise skiing. My knee replacements will be replaced with alabaster bones. Janie Jasin...

Jean was a long time leader and contributor to the Southwest Roundtable established by The Star Tribune writer Jeremy Iggers in support of a more informed electorate. Indeed, we had over 200 meetings and covered more than 200 topics before lack of active leadership prompted cancellation. Jean helped us meet goals we set for ourselves.

Jean was a lifelong friend and classmate at OLG and Edina. I will never forget the wonderful Saturday ski trips with the White family. Never a dull moment. Jean taught my first two children how to ski with such joy and excitement that I wished I had been one of her students too! Just like her Dad, she always had a shining smile and brightened your day with it. I will sincerely miss her and my heart goes out to all of the Whites.

I knew Jean when I was a media specialist at Barton School, teaching community education classes through Washburn. Jean was kind, gracious and accommodating. She is gone too soon and will be missed.
