Jeanette Harold Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 16, 2025.
Dr. Jeanette Harold, 86, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025. Born in Ulysses, Kansas, Jeanette was a graduate of Emporia State. She went on to marry and earn her Master of Science and PhD from Kansas State University-all while raising two children. Many will remember Jeanette as a patient high school teacher. Others, the high school tennis coach who inspired them. And many college students will remember her as the Director of Computing for the College of Business.

Jeanette's two great loves were her family and tennis. A dedicated athlete, she competed well into her 70s. Her proudest moment was earning 2nd place in a USTA national tournament. Her energy and enthusiasm extended to photography and creating cherished "year-in-review" videos that celebrated the lives of her grandchildren.

Jeanette's spirit lives on through her loving family: her son, Scott Harold, his wife, Gennie, and their daughters, Samantha and Erin; and her daughter, Lori Roy, her husband, William, and their sons, Andrew and Sam. Jeanette's legacy is one of resilience, joy, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

A celebration of Jeanette's life will be held on Thursday, July 24, at 6:30 p.m. in the mid-rise lounge at Westminster Suncoast. In lieu of flowers, take someone you love out to a tennis court and knock around a few balls in Jeanette's honor.
