What a lady , I remember when she first opened . I asked her how she got Hill Behan ? She told me the whole marvelous story . Being a women in business myself and a little younger then I really admired what she had accomplished . I loved going to see her and TFH. Jeanie was always so generous when I would come knocking for auction donations for Saint Alban’s roe school and SJA . I look around and see so many items I have bought from TFH in my home and still see her energy . Thank you for the memories and my heart felt condolences go out to her family .

Jeanie was always so kind and helpful to me! I’ve know her for the past 16 years and my home has many pretty things she suggested for me. I was at the store today and I missed her “Hi! Honey” so much. May she Rest In Peace and I’m sure she’s redecorating heaven! ❤

I am so sad to hear that Jeannie passed when I was out of town.
When I was diagnosed with breast cancer and discerning whether to undergo chemo and reconstruction, the Nurse Practitioner said, “Call Jeannie Hood- she will be happy to talk with you!” This is how I came to know this powerhouse of a woman. Jeannie was so gracious with her time and gave me great advice. She provided all women with a model of strength and positive attitude. I am honored to have known such a courageous lady.

Always love your beautiful store and Jeanie everytime I walked in to Three French Hens! I was blessed to work with super-smart and strong, Rae for a short time! I called her “Sunshine” because her smile and personality lights up everyone she is around! Which is no surprise given her grandmother, Jeanie! May she Rest In Peace knowing her Rae will continue to spread the sunshine Jeanie brought to so many people’s lives!

We met thru business but became friends. Jeanie’s last text to me was to encourage me in my own battle with cancer. She was struggling but still incredibly supportive to me. She was funny, kind, and generous. Thanks for the lessons, Jeanie, on how to live life well! May we all carry your light forward and spread the love and joy you did every day. RIP honey bunny.

We were lucky enough to meet Jeanie the first year she opened her business. Three French Hens quickly became one of my favorite places and I loved visiting Jeanie and the Hens. Being greeted as a “honey bunny” has a very special meaning. Jeanie built an amazing business, impacted the community and touched so many lives. May the sweet memories bring peace and comfort to those who loved her. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. Rest in Peace, dear Jeanie. ❤

I have known Jeannie and her family for 53 years. We met when she got on the school bus her first day at Lindbergh High School in our Sophomore year. We became fast friends. The times we spent together and the adventures we had, are too many to count. My husband and I send love to Alan and all of Jeannie’s family. Watching her climb a ladder of success and using her iron will and outstanding work ethic to reach her goals, always made me so proud of her. Her daughter, Dee and her grand daughters, Rae and Keegan are like part of our family. Old friend, you will be missed. Keeping her family close in our hearts. Rest peacefully Jeannie.

Jeanie and I were in the midst of redecorating my kitchen/dining room. I had picked up the chairs and ottoman from Three French Hens. She came to my home and we spent hours laughing in my kitchen - choosing wall, trim and ceiling color. Picking the fabric for the wool rug she had made. Choosing the artwork for my walls. And talking about everything else under the sun. She had a “vision” of what it should look like and it was transforming before my eyes. I told her constantly that whatever she recommended I was doing because “she was the absolute best”. The only thing left was the curtains. She asked me to wait on the curtains until she was feeling better. That day never came. I wanted you to see the finished project, Jeanie. I wanted to share more laughter in my kitchen and hear all of the wonderful ideas you had for other areas of my home. Thank you for sharing your expertise and passion with all of us. Each time I walk into my kitchen, I will remember your vivacious, energetic personality. RIP Jeanie.

Goodbye, dear friend.
To a life lived full and loud, full of fun and love.
You were a great example to business women,
A great leader to daughters, a very proud grand mother.
A memory maker for your family in these past few years.
You will be remembered by your family and community as
A giver and a fixer of all things broken. Rest my friend.
One of your first customer at Three French Hens.

This woman was a force of nature who lit every corner of her life. I was blessed to be her friend and client. One of my favorite things about going to Three French Hens, out of too many to name, was the realization that Jeanie ALWAYS seemed to be covered in glitter! When I left to go home, I was too! It was in my car, on my garage floor, inside!! I now know that she was leaving her love everywhere with that stuff so that when she left us we couldn’t ever forget her! Prayers to the whole beautiful family at this time.

I just stopped in at Three French Hens this morning for my monthly dose of inspiration! I was so heartbroken when I walked in and saw the beautiful table & memorial pictures for Jeanie. I had no idea. Jeanie always had a smile on her face, great sense of humor and her eye for decorating was unmatched. It was her true passion. I always enjoyed hearing her voice from across the store while she was greeting customers or helping someone out. She will be so missed by many in the community. We will be sending thoughts and prayers to the family during this time of loss.
