I haven't seen you since 1993, but your lessons often ring in my thoughts. The world was a better place with you in it, and I hope to see you once again. Requiescat in pace, dear lady

When I was a teen my Dad often stopped by when Jeannie's Father Jim used to rn the Ft. Lauderdale municiple courts. My Dad had a lot in common both being Tennis Pros. We stopped there every spring. I remember seeing Jeannie and Chrissie playing tennis. Before Chrissie became famous. Jeannie and Chrissie were always sweet wnen we saw them. I hope the Everette family accepts my sincere condoleces and prayers for the entire family. I had not heard of this until Chrissie was talking at Breakfast at Wimbledon this morning. God Bless You All.

It is with profound sadness that I write this note about a lifelong friend. My earliest memories are of Jeanne and I as 9-year olds playing at Salvadore Park in the Orange Bowl 12 and unders and Colette and my mom sitting together watching us play our matches. It was the beginning of a long friendship. So many memories come to mind: 12 Nationals in Little Rock (I still have the group photo!), trying to learn a 2-handed backhand like Jeanne from Jimmy (which was hopeless); high school tennis and having to play Jeanne and Chris in doubles (maybe we won a game or two); hanging out at Holiday Park with everyone. Jeanne was so talented, even though it was easy to be overshadowed in those days when your sister is the best in the world. She showed so much grace in all she did and we had a lot of laughs. I will treasure those memories forever. To Colette--I am truly sorry you have to endure the loss of a child...and to Drew, Chrissie, Johnny and Clare--my heart goes out to you at this most difficult time. I know you will find the strength to get through this together. With sincerest condolences,

I just learned of JEANNE'S passing this evening through a telephone call from another good friend of mine living in MAINE! SHE was a very special individual--always more interested in others than in herself! She will be missed by all, and she really was SPECIAL. Just an incredibly, thoughtful person and I felt she also had some good common sense.

Sending an infinite amount of love, thoughts & prayers to all during this very difficult time. Jeanne played a HUGE role in shaping who I am today as my very first babysitting job growing up was with the Dubin family. Heaven has certainly gained one of the most beautiful souls Ive ever had the pleasure of knowing & my thoughts & prayers will continue to be with those left behind.

I was a neighbor of Jeannie's. Before I moved, we used to walk our dogs together, up and down our street almost every day. I miss our walks, and now I miss Jeannie. I so enjoyed our chats. She was a kind, friendly, cheerful person. I send my deepest sympathies to Tower and her family. Rest in peace, Jeanne.

I was so saddened to hear about Jeanne. I was one of her tennis students at the Delray Beach Tennis Center. It was such a pleasure to have played on the team coached by such an awesome woman and tennis player! Rest with the angels.

Such a tragic loss. As an ovarian cancer survivor I am grieving for the Evert-Dubin families and know the fight Jeanne must have fought. We played through out our junior & professional careers, she was always smiling, had a wonderful laugh, and was generous. I am heartbroken- she has left us much too soon. I will continue the fight in her honor.

The Evert and Fleming families grew up together at Holiday Park and shared many memories of traveling to tournaments together and spendings time at each others houses. We have so many family films with Jeanne and Chris in them and well always remember Jeanne as bubbles and running around the court with her pigtails. I feel like we have lost a piece of our childhood with Jeannes passing. She was a special person and will always be remembered in our hearts. Our love and prayers are with Collette, Drew, Chrissie, John and Clare.

A lifetime of love goes out to all of you, as this heartbreaking news has just been delivered to me. I have, and surely will continue to hold this beautiful angel close... I am shocked, as she was for me over the years, yet her bright light will shine in a world that will feel it's warmth, and be guided by it's eternal beauty... Forever by my side, I will look to you... Betsy

Like many other women in the Delray Beach area, Jeanne was my first tennis coach. She was a hard working, down to earth person who shared her skills and love and passion for tennis with so many. Jeanne was all about bringing women to the sport of tennis and I am forever grateful to her for originally giving me the gift of tennis in my life. It has been a huge blessing. May she Rest In Peace.

I had the chance to meet Jeanne on a few occasions back in the 1980s. She was such a delight, warm, outgoing and what a smile she had! I send my deepest condolences to Chrissie and the whole Evert and Dubin families. May God strengthen you in the days a head. May Jeanne Rest In Peace.

This is so sad. Chris was my idol growing up and I also followed Jeanne. She was short like me. They were both young Florida girls like me. It's like losing a piece of my childhood. I wish her family much peace.
