Jeanne L. (Raymond) Johnson, 99, of Manchester New Hampshire died March 13, 2021 at CMC. Born in Manchester, NH on November 30, 1921, she was the daughter of Arthur and Cora (Allard) Raymond. She married her true love Henry Johnson and had 3 wonderful children. Jeanne was a longtime communicant of St. Pius X Church, a charter member of the parish, and for years dedicated her time to the Women's Guild and the church's choir. Jeanne was a happy soul, she had a love for life and was always smiling. she surrounded herself with those things she loved most which included dancing, gardening, singing, going to church, but most of all spending time chatting with friends and family. Prior to retirement in 1984, she had worked as a lead mender for Pandora Industries for 40 years. It was during this time she caught the travel bug and went on European adventures to see what life outside of Manchester looked like. As Jeanne got on in years she slowed her traveling adventures and instead became a snow bird just venturing to Florida, to spend winters with her loving granddaughter Cindy and her husband Bo. Jeanne's life was long and she knew love and she knew heartache, but what she will be remembered for most is that she knew how to keep on living. Smile and take each new day as a blessing. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Johnson in 1960, her daughter Jeanne H. Masson in 1996, son Edward H. Johnson in 2018, and many brothers and sisters. Jeanne was survived by her daughter Joan Robinson and husband Edward, her loving grandchildren Brian Dionne, Cindy Long (Clifton), Vicki Isabelle (Edward), Bj Masson - Mumford (Brian), Michael Robinson (Stephanie ), Jonathan Johnson (Ashley ), and Candice Masson. She was also a Great Nana to twelve great-grand children and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by brother Richard Raymond of Manchester, her son-in-law Richard Masson and many nephews and nieces. Calling hours will be private. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on March 18, 2021 at 10 AM in St. Pius X Church, Candia Road, Manchester. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the American Heart Association, or The Sisters of the Precious Blood.

Good bye to you Mrs Johnson, I think of all the years & memories our families had together. Your daughters baby sat us, Eddie & I grew up together like brother & sister, I also remember Mr Johnson, I was young when he passed but I do remember him. The beautiful flowers & plants in your yard, watching you tend to all of them over the years, & oh yes the cement pond you built in the backyard was something else for sure.! Sure do remember hot summer days when you would let us go swimming in it to cool off. There's so much, so many stories it would take another life to thank you for all of them. I'm so happy that Geraldine & I got to see you the day we drove down so see what changes had been made been made by the new owners to our house. One thing that I want to thank you for is when you visited my mother upon her move to assisted living. You were one of the few that came to see her from her friends, that made her very happy. So with a tear in my eye & pain in my heart I bid you our last good bye. May you find peace in your heart & all your loved ones that left you too soon. God bless, you are some kind of special lady in my eyes.

We live across the street from Jeanne and she was such a wonderful presence in our lives. She was quick to share a gardening tip and added many plants to our yard over the years. Our young children adored her and she will be sorely missed.
