JEANNE ZINGALE Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 30, 2014.
ZINGALE JEANNE WENDEL ZINGALE, 89, formerly of Fostoria, Ohio, passed away on March 3, 2014, with complications from Type II diabetes. She is survived by her loving husband, Tony Zingale, 93; her sons Jim Zingale (Linda) and Tom Zingale of Tallahassee; her daughter Susan Zingale-Baird (Jeff Baird) of Philadelphia; and her sister-in-law Annamy Wendel of Anger, Germany. Her surviving grandchildren include Alisa Johnson (Doug) of Vero Beach; Michael Zingale of Tallahassee; Angela Zingale of Brooklyn, NY; and Justine and Jessica Baird of Philadelphia. Great-grandchildren include Tessa and Avi Johnson from Vero Beach. Jeanne, a teacher, and Tony, a builder, were married for 70 wonderful years. They raised their children in Cleveland, Ohio, and retired in their early 50's, living mostly in Florida. Jeanne and Tony lived like few have experienced. They spent most of their retirement traveling around the world. Jeanne was often heard saying, "You haven't really lived until you have traveled the world with someone you love." Their first trip around the world lasted one year, only traveling by bus, boat and train. They stayed in bed and breakfasts (not five-star hotels), ate at the market, and loved the people they met. A private memorial service will be held at a later date at the Fountain National Cemetery in Fostoria, Ohio, where Jeanne will rest with her beloved family. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Tallahassee Little Theatre (Theatre Tallahassee) would be appreciated. Jeanne enjoyed the theater and had the lead in a number of productions during her stays in Tallahassee (Theatre Tallahassee, 1861 Thomasville Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32303).
