Family-Placed Obituary

Jeannette M. Boyd, age 88, of Austin, Texas, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2004, in Columbus, Ohio. She was a longtime resident of Gainesville, Fl. She was born in Clinton, Wi., on March 2, 1916, the daughter of Jasper and Edith Dresser, and attended University of Wisconsin in Madison where she met and married Frederick T. Boyd, Ph.D., Univ. of Florida agronomist. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick T. Boyd, and by three brothers and a sister. She is survived by daughters, Barbara (Robert) Woodward of Groveport, Ohio, Marilyn (Aime) DeReggi of Boyds, Md., Virginia Rogers of Austin, Tx., and Bettie (Chandler) Mclver of Tempe, Az.; by her son, Frederick T. (Marisa) Boyd Jr. of University Place, Wa.; by brother, Richard (Mary Lou) Dresser of Fountain Hills, Az.; by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and by many nieces and nephews. She was an artist, specializing in oil painting. She was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Austin and previously was active in First Presbyterian Church of Gainesville. She was a Regent in the D.A.R. Funeral services will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell on Monday, August 9, at 11:00 a.m. Memorial service will be held at Westminster Presbyerian Church, Exposition Blvd., Austin, TX., on Saturday, August 14 at 2:00 p.m.
