Dear Audrey, Brenda, Pam, Ernie, Yvette, and Ernest

Please accept my deepest sympathy. I was shocked and dismayed to hear that Jeannine was taken suddenly and at such a young age. It was not that long ago that we met Jeannine and her trusty companion at my mom’s after one of her daily walks along Edgewater. She had come to check to see if my mom needed anything. That was typical Jeannine; always there to help, comfort or show concern.

The Duby and Bruels families have been intertwined for a long time. The time in Connecticut, the move to Florida, boating and fishing, family dinners and barbeques, work at Basic, the deterioration of my dad’s health, the death of Eddie and the passing of Jeannine. During those decades my parents valued their friendship and support that was freely and generously given.

Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart. Jeannine and Eddie truly left a permanent mark on the Bruels’ families’ hearts. They will be missed.

While your loss will never go away know that God, friends, and family support will soften your grief. You are in my prayers.

Aunt Jeannine was a bright light in our family. Her quick wit and dry humor always made us laugh. She had a heart of gold for her family that touched us all. We will miss you dearly.

Love you,
Jimmy, Melissa, Blake, Brooke and Brody

Dear Audrey, Brenda, Pam, Ernie, Yvette, and Ernest,

Deb and I are so sorry for your loss -- especially with the speed with which Jeannine was taken from you. Your family has endured a lot of sorrow over the past few years which must be terrible to bear. Please know that Deb and I are thinking of you and have you in our prayers.

Knowing Jeannine over the years has been one of the joys in our lives. She was so full of life and we loved her sharp, quick wit. She was a great person, wife, and mother. She also was very supportive of our family, whether working for Basic Electronics for many years, supporting my Dad during his long illness, or helping my Mom after my Dad's death. She gave freely of herself. On a personal note, Jeannine (in her usual sarcastic but helpful manner) talked me into going to see a doctor when we last saw her in November. It turned out that I had high blood pressure and am now on medication. But that was Jeannine -- she was always helpful and got her point across with some humor and a little jab.

We will miss her a lot. All the best to you. Glen and Deb Bruels
