Jeff M. Kiebler, age 50, of 2181 Key Way Drive, formerly of 1702 Rhomberg Ave., passed away peacefully at home at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2010, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family, who prayerfully led him to the gates of heaven. Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Behr's Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., with Deacon Bill Biver officiating. Private burial will be in Linwood Cemetery. To celebrate Jeff's life, friends may visit from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Behr's Funeral Home, 1491 Main St. He was born on December 21, 1959, in Dubuque, son of Frederick and Maryann (Miller) Kiebler. Jeff owned Kiebler Painting and had been painting Dubuque since 1986. Prior to that, he worked at RS Bacon Veneer. He married Glenann Nemmers on December 29, 1981, at Resurrection Catholic Church. Jeff enjoyed fishing, woodworking and carving, working on cars and writing poetry. He was quite a handyman. Jeff was always willing to lend a helping hand and would give you his last dollar. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and grandchildren. Survivors: his wife, Glenann Kiebler, of Dubuque; a son, Jeff (Treasure Otterbeck) Kiebler Jr., of Dubuque, two daughters, Erin (Matt) Fossum, of Dubuque, Ashley (Nicole) Kiebler, of Dubuque; 3 grandchildren, Geoffrey, Chloe and Caitlyn Kiebler and another expected in April; 3 sisters, Jill Kiebler, Holly (Mike Hurm) Kiebler and Jenni (Matt) Jungers, all of Dubuque; 3 brothers, Tom Kiebler, of Long Beach, Calif., Eric Kiebler and Todd (Jane) Kiebler, both of Dubuque; his stepfather, Timothy (Jennie) Wright, of Florida; many nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents Frederick Kiebler and Maryann Wright; a sister, Tina Brown; his father and mother-in-law, Glenn and Mary Nemmers. A Jeffrey M. Kiebler Memorial Fund has been established. The family would like to thank Dr. Hermann and Tony Heier and the nurses and staff at Dubuque Internal Medicine Oncology Department and Hospice of Dubuque for their care and concern for Jeff.
