Jeffery Brock Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 12, 2022.
Jeffery Brian Brock, beloved husband, father and friend, passed away on August 1, 2022, in Tomball, TX. Jeff was born in 1983 in Fort Polk, Louisiana, to Sam Brock and Becky Coleman. An incredibly bright and energetic boy, Jeff was known for his smarts and his daredevil antics. His father's Army career gave him the opportunity to grow up overseas in Germany where he was often recruited by teachers and staff to troubleshoot and operate their computers. He visited Berlin right after fall of the wall, traveled to numerous castles and attended any Volksmarch that included a beer mug as a prize. Jeff loved to play cards on base and could hold his own in a game. Upon returning to the US, Jeff eventually settled in southeast Texas where he excelled as an athlete playing football, baseball and his favorite sport, soccer. During that time, he met his future wife after asking for a ride home from soccer tryouts. After graduating from West Brook High School, Jeff enlisted in the United States Marines where he proudly served his country.

After his service, while traveling through Dallas he happened to reconnect with the girl who gave him a ride home from soccer tryouts all those years ago. Jeff and Mandy's first date was drinks and games at Dave & Busters and from that moment forward they were inseparable. They went on to marry in 2010 and settle down closer to family near Houston, Texas, where they welcomed their son Jack in 2012. From the moment he was born, Jack became his dad's whole world. He was hands down the most dedicated father. As soon as Jack could walk, they were kicking around a soccer ball and going on weekly "dude dates." He was incredibly proud of his son.

Jeff had a love for history, cars, music, and sports and enjoyed working with his son on restoring his classic Harley Davidson. When taking a family vacation, Jeff always included tours of historical sights and used them as an opportunity to learn. He was a lifelong learner, always challenging himself to learn new things. His last few years were spent working for Univar Solutions, where he worked in logistics and was the "go to" guy for getting things done.

Jeff was the life of the party! He had an unmistakable laugh and a smile that lit up a room. He treasured bringing people together. Jeff loved catching Astros games with family and attending concerts with his wife. He was a practical joker and had the best sense of humor. He was passionate and competitive, holding regular game nights with his family and friends. While he loved playing games, his ultimate joy came from spending time with others.

Jeff was also incredibly thoughtful. He loved to give and would take any opportunity he could to give to others. His wife and son never wanted for a thing as he was an incredible provider and protector. Whether it was giving gifts or volunteering his time or handyman skills, Jeff was happiest when he was able to help someone else.

Jeff is survived by his wife Mandy, his son Jack, parents Sam and Becky, grandmother Bobbie, and sister Tiffany. He is also survived by countless cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on August 27, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. at the home of close family friends.

Brock, he will always be our " ROCK STAR" Memories of smiles and laughter and talks about his Son! He will always be remembered as one of "The Best" people I worked with! When you spoke with him you felt like you were speaking with a friend of your childhood! He would call you off guard to introduce you to a new connection and networked his butt off. I will forever smile when his name comes up because he would want nothing more then to be remembered as the awesome father and man that he was. All the smiles he gave over the phone while talking! His biggest heart felt smiles were with talks of his son! Now that was his All Star! His numaro uno! I think of the many hats he wore his most proudest was the 'DAD" hat! May God be with you all as the days go by. My his Love be remembered above all!! You will forever be missed. Krystal Torres

We have many fond memories hanging out in Dallas with Jeff and Mandy! Brock loved calling him Brock since he shared the name! My daughter, Jovi, still has her pink elephant she calls Ellie that y´all gave her 11 years ago when she was born! We are praying for you and Jack and sending all our love.
