Jeffery Shurtleff Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 23, 2021.
Passed away suddenly with family by his side at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 in his 65th year. Dearly beloved husband of Deborah (nee Finlay) for 32 years. Loving father of Amanda Anderson (Shane). Proud papa of Keegan and Ava. Dear brother of John (Jo-Anne). Beloved son of the late Bill and Bev. Jeff will be missed by his mother in-law Ruby Finlay, and the late father in-law Jim Finlay as well as his extended family, especially his brother in-law Trevor Finlay. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, and his Camp Croydon buddies. Jeff was born in Kingston, Ontario and raised in Napanee, Ontario. He graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in Architecture. He started his long-time standing career in the Insurance Industry, as an Arson and Fraud Investigator. When taking time out of his busy schedule Jeff and I enjoyed travelling the world together and making new memories. He was an avid outdoorsman. Jeff will be remembered for his good humor and the twinkle in his eye and his kind heart! Visitation was held the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, March 17 from 3 - 6 p.m. A private funeral service took place on Thursday, March 18. Donations may be made to Lions Foundation of Canadian Dog Guides or The War Amps. Online condolences may be placed at www.oshawafuneralhome.com

My sincere condolences to Jeff's family. I first met Jeff when he was a young State Farm property adjuster and he would come into my father's insurance office. He was a very knowledgeable man with a keen sense of humor and he enjoyed both boating and golf. He will be missed. RIP my friend.
