Jeffrey Lynn "Jeff" Boorman

Jeffery Lynn Boorman, affectionately known as Jeff, passed away on July 4, 2024, at the age of 66 in Longview, Texas after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 15, 1957, in Iowa City, Iowa, Jeff grew into a man cherished by all who knew him.

Jeff graduated from City High in Iowa City, IA and built a fulfilling career, retiring from JW Energy. He was a man of many interests, including fishing, working on classic cars, and most importantly, spending quality time with his family and friends.

Jeff leaves behind a loving family: his wife Karen Boorman; daughter and son-in-law Kayleigh and Taylor Gray; three granddaughters, Adyson, Bailee, and Zoey Gray. He is also survived by his mother, Grace Boorman; brothers, Jim, Rob and wife Donna, John and wife Barb, Brett and wife Sara; sisters, Carol and Laurie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, James Boorman, and sister, Cathy Cowan.

A celebration of Jeff's life will be held at Papacitas Mexican Restaurant, located at 305 West Loop 281, Longview, TX, on Thursday, July 18 at 6:30 p.m. We kindly ask that you cover your own meal. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Texas Oncology in Longview, TX, in Jeff's memory. Jeff's warmth, generosity, and lively spirit will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who had the pleasure to know him.
