Jeffrey Mathers, age 65, of Etna, Ohio, passed away on August 12, 2024. Born on March 2, 1959, in Columbus, Ohio, Jeff was a spirited and compassionate individual known for his love of life and the outdoors.

Jeff served honorably in the Marine Corps, where he embraced the rigor and camaraderie that shaped much of his approach to life's challenges. After his military service, Jeff became known as a jack of many trades, applying his hands-on skills in various capacities which allowed him to touch the lives of many.

His personality was as vibrant as his life's pursuits; Jeff was outgoing and cherished spending time outdoors, whether it was camping under the stars, hiking through serene trails, or cheering on his beloved Buckeyes. An avid golfer, he was often found on the greens, relishing a sunny day out on the course.

Family was the cornerstone of Jeff's life. He is survived by his brothers Brad Mathers, Joel Mathers; his sister Jill Routte and her husband Dennis, Joni Kline and her husband Dave; his daughter Danielle Reynolds and her husband Michael; sons James Mathers and his wife Maria, and Michael Mathers and his wife Brandi. Jeff was a loving grandfather to Gage, Gwen, Grace, Claire, Leo, Declan, Vincent, Abigail, Charlie, and Jack. He was preceded in death by his father James Mathers and mother Joan Landahl Mathers.
