Jeffrey Vollmer Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jan. 19 to Jan. 21, 2021.
Jeffrey Scott Vollmer

Jeffrey S. (Jeff) Vollmer, 51 of Cincinnati, Ohio passed on January 9, 2021 after a courageous battle with metastatic renal cancer. His beloved family was by his side.

He was born in Denver, Colorado on October 24, 1969 . He was raised in the Cincinnati suburb of Montgomery. Jeff made lifelong friends attending Moeller High School (1988) and Indiana University (1993) . He was a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity.

His career path led him to work in wealth management. After years of working with the Wall Street firms, Jeff founded Hyde Park Wealth Management in 2009. He helped clients all over the country. Having a strong writing background, he created a monthly newsletter and had numerous articles published as well.

Jeff and his wife, Tiffany, made Mt. Lookout their home for the past 20 years, where they are raising their two sons, Jake and Max. Jeff cherished time supporting and cheering on his boys at St. Ursula Villa and St. Xavier High School.

Jeff was a true Cincinnati sports fan who loved attending games with his family and friends. A weekly tradition he also enjoyed was lunch at the Skyline lunches in Oakley, where most Saturday's he was able to catch-up with his dad, siblings and their families.

His friends and family describe him as a great source of happiness, an adventurer and explorer, a competitor, and always a supportive teammate. Jeff lit up any room he entered, made everyone feel important, and was always willing to help (or pose for a picture). Jeff is survived by the love of his life, Tiffany Vollmer, and their two sons, Jake and Max Vollmer. Jeff is also survived by his father Dr. Bruce Vollmer (father) and Molly Vollmer (stepmother); (Jeff's mother Sandy Vollmer preceded Jeff in passing), his brother Todd Vollmer (Katy), and sister Stephanie Fildes ( Neil), niece Siena Fildes, nephews Liam Fildes, Hunter Vollmer and Dylan Vollmer. Jeff had a lifelong passion for movies and an incredible talent in writing and storytelling. Towards the end of his life he became enthusiastically involved in the nonprofit, Film Cincinnati, because of the commerce movies bring to community and shared excitement for cinema. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Cincinnati's Film Commission: www.filmcincinnati.com where a scholarship will be created in his name.

A private service will be held at St. Rose Church on Saturday Jan 23rd at 10:00 am. A live stream is available for those who would like to participate. www.strosecincinnati.org

Jeff....I am still at a loss for words, a month after your passing...to say that I am heartbroken is an understatement. You and Tiffany were amazing parents to me back to 10 years ago when you gave me the chance to live with you and take care of your two precious boys. That year living with you all has been a true blessing. I will forever be grateful for your kindness, your sense of humor, your jokes, your generosity, for you having been such a beautiful soul in this world. I miss you so so very much and I hope that you can protect your beautiful wife, your kids and your family from up there...
All my love to his wonderful family.

Rhina (that funny nickname you used because Max couldn't pronounce my name when he was a baby - this will always stay).

I’m so saddened to hear of Jeff’s passing. We were fraternity brothers at IU and I have many fond memories of our time there. He would light up any room he entered! Many prayers to his family and friends. Cherish your memories. God speed Vollms!

I was so sorry to hear about Jeff. I knew him at IU a bit and have been "running into him" around Cincinnati off and on for the past 25 years. He had such a big, fun personality and always had a kind word and a friendly greeting. My condolences to his family - he will be missed.

Dear Vollmer family. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Jeff. Bruce and Sandy and their beautiful children were my parents next door neighbors for many years. My parents told of stories of Jeff and Todd swinging on tree limbs out into the woods behind the house. The Shively’s loved the Vollmer’s. They always said those kids had a zest for life. My thoughts and prayers are with you Tiffani, Stephanie, Todd, Bruce and Molly.
Love to you all.

Tiffany, I know there is little Myse and I can say that would assuage the emptiness and grief you and your family feel as a result of Jeff's passing. He was an awesome individual and we wanted you to know you all are in our hearts and prayers.

So sorry to hear this news; I remember Jeff from Moeller and would occasionally see him in the neighborhood. Definitely a loss for the community. I'll remember the family in our prayers.

I had the privilege of being there the day that Jeff and Tiffany met. These two were meant to be together and the love they shared will never die. What a joy it was to see one of my best friends be loved the way she was by Jeff. His legacy will live on in his two boys. Much love and prayers for the whole family The Martinelli’s
