Jennifer Boyd Obituary
Mrs. Jennifer (Westmoreland) Boyd, 45, of Florence, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2012, after a sudden illness. Jennifer was very kind and loving. She was devoted to her husband and son, Erick and Mitchell Boyd. She was loved as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.
Jennifer was a life-long resident of Florence and a member of Jackson Heights Church of Christ. She was a 1984 graduate of Coffee High School and a 1990 graduate of UNA. She was a Certified Pharmacy Technician and worked at the Food World Pharmacy on Florence Boulevard for 15 years. She had just started working at Fred's Pharmacy near Kendale Gardens.
There will be a memorial service at Jackson Heights Church of Christ Thursday, July 12, 2012, at 6:30 PM. Family will receive guests starting at 5:30. The church is located at 1031 Hermitage Drive, Florence, Ala. Ronnie Pannell and Barry Gilreath will lead the memorial service.
Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by her father, Pete Westmoreland; and brother, Thomas Mason Westmoreland. She is survived by husband, Erick Boyd; son, Mitchell Boyd; mother, Levera Westmoreland; brothers Ken (Fran) Westmoreland, and Ron (Debbie) Westmoreland; sister-in-law, Sue Westmoreland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, friends may wish to contribute to a fund that has been set up for Mitchell. Contributions may be sent to the Mitchell Boyd Benefit Fund at Listerhill Credit Union, P.O. Box 566, Sheffield, AL 35660.

My heart really goes out to the Westmoreland Family. Her mother lived next door to my great-aunt for many, many years and each time Jennifer came by and I was at my aunt's we would talk. I have worked at Foodworld for years and I had the pleasure of knowing Jennifer. She was always nice and had a smile for everyone she came in contact with. I work with Erick also,who is very nice and a very respectful person. My heart and prayers go out to Erick and Mitchell and the entire family for their loss. I worked with Jennifer at Food World for several years and she always had a smile on her face. I won't forget that about her. We shared stories about English classes at UNA and how we all planned to get out of the grocery store one day and write books. Rest in peace Jennifer. My prayers are with family.
