Jennifer Compton Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 4, 2024.
Jennifer Marie Compton (Minar), cherished mother, wife, sister, and friend, departed this life on July 22, 2024, in Columbia, SC. Born on October 19, 1969, in Milwaukee, WI, Jennifer's 54 years were marked by an unwavering commitment to her family, her career, and her community.

First and foremost, Jennifer loved God and was a follower of Jesus Christ. Throughout her years, Jennifer was known for her compassionate heart and innate ability to uplift those around her. She dedicated many years to the medical profession, serving with heartfelt dedication at Curtis Ambulance. Her selfless nature and care for others have left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to work alongside her.

Jennifer's devotion to her family was evident in every aspect of her life. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Sara Stehno (Dylan); her husband, Josh Compton; her siblings, Kathy Hackbarth (Ron), Mary Jane Jansuz, and Michael Thiemer, and her grandsons Eric and Thomas Stehno. She will always hold a place in the hearts of nieces, Elizabeth Olson (Evan) and Abbie Gilewski (Dale), and nephews Tim Hackbarth, Jeff Windus (Amy), and Gabe Alboruas as well as her grandnieces Emma, Elaina Eylee, Alexa, Saylor and Collins; grandnephews Kobey, Kannon, Lucas and a circle of close relatives and friends. She was preceded in passing by her parents, Richard and Marilyn Minar, and her nephew, Eric Obermann.

Jennifer was the life of the party, always ensuring those around her were having a good time. Her commitment to her family and friends was unparalleled, always going above and beyond to ensure their wellbeing. She had a profound love for spending time on the beach, spoiling her two beloved pugs, and cherishing moments at her beach house with visiting family members.

The final services will be held at Krause Funeral Home in New Berlin, WI, on Saturday, August 3rd. A public viewing will begin at 10:00 AM followed by the service at 12:00 PM. Jennifer's life and legacy will be celebrated by all those she touched with her generous spirit and joyful demeanor.

In lieu of flowers consider making a donation to Pug Rescue of North Carolina, as Jennifer loved her pugs dearly and would appreciate it.

My name is Troy Galyean and I used to live in Bairoil Wyoming. I met Jennifer when I believe around the 4th grade through basketball as the Poison Spiders from Casper area used to come down and us up for ball games . Those were the good old days back in 1979-1983. I am 6 months older than she was but I believe she was in my class year. In my 7th and 8th grade years is where I really got to know her as Poison Spider would come to Bairoil for our annual basketball tournaments as did many other schools from neighboring areas and some would stay 2 nights at the school so as not to have to drive back and forth. Anyway I lost touch with her after high school but always had her in my heart and obviously still do. I wish I could have talked to her and gotten to know her as I feel we had a strong connection. I tried to look her up on the internet countless times to no avail. I never got the chance to say it in person but I Loved you Jennifer and you were always on my mind and in my heart. So sorry to hear that you have left this earth I feel that you and I would have had a great life together. I loved your sense of humor, your laugh and your happiness that never faded. I especially miss our phone conversations in high school they were so much fun! Love you again ANGEL Fly High! See you someday I promise! One of my best friends was your cousin Shawn Ellis he is up there with you too . Keep an eye on me and help me fly straight and true for my remaining days! Love and miss you both!

Jenny and I ran many ambulance calls together. She was so caring and attentive and so relatable. We had lots of great conversations, mostly at that time when she was going through her divorce from Sara´s father. Above anything in this world, she cherished and adored her family and her precious daughter, Sara.
Jenny was always so well put together. Her makeup was always so flawless and her hair was always so beautiful and perfect. Her purse always had to matched her belt and her shoes. She was so cute and so funny. And always, always so kind to everyone. You are, and will be remembered Jenny.
