Jennifer Hartnett Obituary
Greece - Went home to be with the Lord September 15, 2018. Survived by her loving parents, Diana and Terrance Duell; sister, Katie Duell; brothers, Terrance (Samantha) Duell and Anthony Duell; uncle, William (Susan) Morrissey; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Jennifer was a volunteer Fireman, a volunteer EMT and an avid gardener, and professionally she was an executive for various technology companies such as IBM etc.
Friends may attend a Memorial Mass, 12 NOON Thursday at St. Monica's Church, 34 Monica St. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sisters of St. Joseph, 150 French Rd., Roch., NY 14618.

Jennifer was my best friend in third grade. We shared everything together, including sleepovers and walking to each others houses. I moved to DC from Stony Brook when we were in fifth grade so we lost touch but I found her on Facebook years ago and was so delighted to hear from her. I always cherished our phone calls. She was such a good person. Today, I went on her Facebook page thinking of her as I remember going to her birthday parties when we were younger and was shocked to hear the news. She was a beautiful soul, so kind and loving. She is with the angels now. I love you Jennifer! xoxo

Jenny was love. When I think of her, that is what I think of first. Love.
She was also fiercely protective and loyal. A mother lioness to those she loved, and for almost 30 years I was so profoundly lucky to be included in that group.
We could all see how beautiful she was on the outside, but she was a thousand times more beautiful on the inside. She was beloved by me, and by her godson, who she loved like her own.
I am gutted by her passing and I hope her family knows how incredibly loved she was by all of us. My heartfelt condolences to Diana and her family. I am so terribly, terribly sorry for your loss.

I was so blessed to participate in the Life Education Program with Jennifer, run through the Conversations with God Foundation. Jennifer had a deep faith, and a generous, open heart. Her smile was inviting and contagious. In the immersive time we spent together growing spiritually, I was in awe of Jennifer's courage, and her ability to speak the truth in love. She is a dear soul, and will be greatly missed.

I have so many wonderful memories of being at her house in east setauket and her giving me her hamster Brittney when she was not able to take care of her. I will cherish all the dinners and smiles. To my dear Indigo friend... What a blessing and gift it was to have met you, and share a part of your journey, while you lived here in San Diego. I totally got you and who you really were. I thank you for all the time we spent together, for all of the long soulful and spiritual conversations we shared, for the Bars sessions we had together, and for all of the goofy times... I know where you are now, and I know you are very happy. You are now amongst the Stars, and what a perfect place for you to be. There never was a truer or braver heart in anyone. Jennifer was one of life's true heroes. I have never met anyone more gentle, or kinder, or more sensitive of nature than her. I had the pleasure of working with her, and the privilege of becoming her friend. Her loss is everyone's loss. The world is all the worse for her absence. I loved her dearly and I will miss her terribly.
