Jennifer Lynne Nelson (Zeigler), born on March 22, 1970 in Dennison, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, October 30, at the age of 54.

Jennifer grew up in Brewster, Ohio and graduated from Fairless High School in 1988 before attending Ohio State University and Kent State University graduating with a BS in Nursing. Jennifer was a long-time nurse, including time as ICU nurse at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio. She later worked as a nurse educator for medical supply company BBraun and then AvaSure.

She married the love of her life, Drew Nelson, in 1997. Her friends and loved ones knew her for her compassionate, no-nonsense attitude that served her well as nurse and a mother. Her quick wit and fiery demeanor were enjoyed by all who were around her. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids, fishing and in Key West with her close friends.

She is survived by her husband, Drew, daughters Jocelyn (Michael), Jessica (Jacob) and Anastasia (Jacob), son Lukas, grandchildren Evelyn and Reuben, Grandmother June, mother Deborah, siblings Carri (Todd) and Jeff (Jeanine), and nieces and nephews Isabelle, Elle', Claudia, Ben, Cullen, and Casey. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Zeigler.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Florida Keys SPCA (https://fkspca.org/donate/ways-to-give/give-online/)

Jennifer was one of my mentors when I began working at Bbraun 15 yrs ago. Even as an experienced nurse, she taught me so much. She was an amazing teacher. I marveled at her intelligence and wit. And she loved talking about her precious family and her amazing husband.
Sending sincerest condolences. My heart breaks for you all. Gone much too soon. May she rest in peace.

My first memory of Jennifer was when she attended Brewster UM Church with the twins. And then hearing that she married Drew. I can´t remember how we actually met and talked, but living in a small town we would often, over time, run into each other and would always have a conversation. I remember when Anastasia and Lukas were born. Lukas and my son played basketball together and were in band so we would see each other at games. Also at church when Jessica, Jocelyn, and I performed in the bell choir. I always liked Jennifer and am so sad for the family. God Bless you all!
