Jennifer Rush Obituary
Jennifer was born September 4, 1983, in Hinesville, Georgia to Brian and Sandra Roberts Gay. She attended Tallawanda High School in Oxford and was married to Joseph K. Rush. She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church. Jennifer was an accomplished artist and had a piece of her work hung in the Smithsonian Museum of Art as a result of winning an art contest. Jennifer enjoyed writing poetry and gave of her time as a volunteer. She was well known for her love and care of other people and animals.
Jennifer is survived by her husband; four sons: Dalton Howard, Aiden Howard, Jeffrey Howard, and Jonathan K. Rush; her mother, Sandra Colyer and her husband, Lee of Greenville, KY; her father: Brian Gay and his wife, Teri of Richmond; maternal grandparents: Don and Sue Roberts of Liberty; paternal grandparents: Ralph & Margaret Gay of Richmond; maternal grandmother: Helena Colyer of Owensboro, Kentucky; sisters: Kristan Cobb and her husband, Josh; Samantha Deason, all of Greenville, KY; Sheri Cruz and her husband, Skylar of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Jamie Meyers of Richmond; her best friends: Stacy Somora of West College Corner and Ethan Goodman of Oxford; her mother-in- law: Patricia Rush of West College Corner; her father-in-law: John Rush of Covington, KY; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her grandparents, great-grandparents, and an aunt: Jackie Gay.
A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, at College Corner United Methodist Church with Pastor Mick Miller officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Union County Adopt-A-Dog, 3 East Union Street, Liberty, IN 47353. Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, Liberty has been entrusted with the arrangements.
