I've never had a friend like Jeron. I'll never be able to feel the same, theres something like a tear on my soul now. Me & Jeron would make jokes until we couldn't laugh anymore. If there is a Heaven, i hope to laugh together again one day up there.

Rev. Grayson,
I am so sorry for the loss of your son. I've never met him or any of the members of your family, but I did hear you speak at Calvary UMC on the North Side a few years ago. The occasion was Martin Luther King Day, the day before inauguration day, January 2008. Your sermon was filled with hope and praise and I felt so uplifted after that service. When I saw your picture in the paper and realized it was your son that died, I felt a need to reach out to you and say how sorry I am. May God bless you and your family with all that you need to make sense out of this tragedy.

Dear Rev. & Mrs. Grayson & Family,
I did not know Jeron, but as I sit here reading the tributes to him I have tears streaming down my face. It always seems that God takes the good ones early in life and I'm sure He has a more important plan for Jeron up in heaven. As a parent of an 18 year old City graduate and CalU student, I can't even imagine the pain you are going through, but your grace inspires me to trust in our Lord and all he does. May He continue to give you strength during this most difficult of times.
In Christian love and sympathy,

To Rev. and Mrs. Grayson and Family,
It was a little more than a year ago that Rev. Grayson performed not one but two funeral services within two months for our family. First, mom passed and then gram. Each time, the Rev. was there lending his support, time and prayers. We would like to take this time as a family to convey to you and your family our deepest sympathy on the loss of your son. We know that your strength in the Lord that you have shown and given to so many others, is the same strength that will see you through this time of sorrow. God bless you all.

Mr. and Mrs. Grayson words cannot express how u feel. They can't even express the way that I feel. I had the pleasure of meeting Jeron one time in the summer of 2009 during his time in the ACBA and his smile and energy have stuck with me every since. I always told Marlene that we needed more students like him with such drive and love to share. When I walked in that room on June 23, 2009 he walked up to me and said I hope ur taking me with you and I told him I hope so too. He sat next to me and talked about both his parents ur careers and his sister and her success. He was very proud of each and every one of u. He was telling me his future goals and what he wanted to work hard for and how much he enjoyed football. Just a all around awesome and outgoing kid. I remember that day like it was yesterday . All I can say is if he had the power to stick and stay with me and I can only imagine what the people that have been around for a long time is feeling. I have been just crying and telling everyone what a awesome person he was. So keep on smiling and keep shining because Jeron was and still is someone to be very proud of. My heart goes out to u all. Just remember gone too soon but his legacy will forever live on. He was and will always be somebody. Keep his goals alive for other children to follow in his footsteps. Thank you for raising such a great young man.
