Jerry Lee Bell, 84, of Corpus Christi, TX passed away peacefully on the 16th day of June 2018. His daughter Tracy Walters was by his bedside.

Jerry was born in Huntington, WV on November 6th, 1933. Jerry is fondly remembered for his selflessness and dedication to serving others that he loved most and the American way of life. To his family he will always be remembered for his continuous and unwavering support along with the pride he felt for each of us which he never hesitated to express and exhibited each and every day of his life through his actions. His personality and sense of humor made him larger than life, able to make light of any situation, always looking for the positive in life. He received several commendations while serving his country as a Marine overseas in both Vietnam and Korean conflicts. He retired from the Marines as a gunnery sergeant in 1971 after 21 years of loyal service. He then continued his service for the citizens of Nueces County Sheriffs department for many years until he became a criminal investigator for CCAD where he retired his career after another 18 years of service.

Proceeded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years Sarah Ellen Bell, daughters Crystal Reser and Junah Beaton, as well as grandson James Paul Brennan II.

Those left to cherish his memory are two of his daughters Tracy Walter's and husband James Walters of Corpus Christi, Brenda Brennan and husband James Brennan of Lake Charles Louisiana. Son-in-laws Scott Beaton of Houston Texas and Thomas Reser of Corpus Christi. Twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grand children, with another great grandchild expected, and his first great great grandchild expected as well. A man who will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 8:00 am with Chapel service to follow at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery following.
