Jerry Lee Duncan

Mr. Jerry Lee Duncan, 87, of Connelly Springs, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Autumn Care Nursing Center, following a period of declining health. Jerry was born on October 25, 1933 in Burke County to the late David Lester Duncan and Emmer Elizabeth Garmon Duncan. He was a retired machinist with Jim Built Metal Fabrication, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a longtime member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Pansy Duncan, one son, Kirk Duncan, three brothers; Ted, Ralph, and Joe Duncan, and one sister, Jeanette Duncan. Surviving are his two sons, Charles Duncan of Morganton, and Tony Duncan and wife Sonja of Hickory, one brother, Bill Duncan, and four sisters; Sally Lundquist, Margaret Kiser, Bertha Tignore and Eula Mae West. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Dakota Duncan, Savannah Duncan, Jerry Lynn Duncan and fiancé Darae Scott, and Jodi Hudson, two great-grandchildren; Jahmod and Jaxon, and two daughter in-laws, Tammy Duncan and Kathy Duncan. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Shady Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Mitchell Boughman officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.
