Jerry Nelson White

MARION - Mr. Jerry Nelson White, 61, died Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at Carolinas Hospital after an illness. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 16, at Marion Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Palmetto Memorial Gardens, directed by Richardson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 15, from 7:00-9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mr. White was born in Marion, a son of the late Thomas C. White and Laura Flowers White. He is also predeceased by brothers, T.C. White, Jr., Linwood White, and Benny White; and a sister-in-law, Sophia White. Mr. White worked at Smurfit Stone Container Corp. for 30 years, and attended Marion Baptist Church. He was also a member of Wahee Hunting Club and Black Swamp Hunting Club. Surviving are his wife, Faye H. White of the home; a son, Jerry Anson White and his wife Alice of Marion; a daughter Sharon Lane and her husband John of Marion; brothers, Robert C. White of Columbia, Francis Dale White and his wife Shelby of Marion, Leroy White and his wife Mary of Marion, Ray White and his wife Lois of Latta, Glen White and his wife Julia of Columbia; sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (June) Godbold of Marion, Mrs. Sonny (Ann) Lee of Turbeville; grandsons, Hunter and Garrett Lane both of Marion.
