I walked into our office this morning and asked my wife to look up an old friend - Dene Balmer - only to find that he's just recently passed away. Sorry to hear about Denes' passing. My name is Bill Ford. Dene and I were great friends in the early part of WWII at Fort Sill, OK. My father, William W. Ford, Sr. was a good friend of Denes' father. Together they managed to get what is now the Air arm of the US Army established to be used for field artillery observation.
Dene and I played many rounds of golf together at the Ft. Sill course and generally scored about equally, altho each of us knew who was better. Of course I was right, but Dene always thought he was right too.
I'm sure you miss as I do.

Our love, prayers and best wishes are with Dene's family, especially Danielle, her family and Doreen. Dene was kind enough to share his daughter and Doreen with me for the last 22 years and for that I will forever be grateful to him. He smile was contagious and he was always a gentleman. May he rest in peace in the Arms of the Father.
